FARMAN:
Neutering Officer
and her cats POPPY and SOOTY

Hi my name is Jill Farman
and I have been working with Macclesfield Cats Protection
for about 10 years or thereabouts. My main role is that of
Neutering Officer, responsible for issuing all the forms to
the vets, and helping people trying to get their cats neutered,
also any strays which we take into care. I also foster cats
as and when required. I live in Rainow with my husband Keith
and our two cats Sooty (14) and Poppy (10). I work part-time
at Bollington Vets as a receptionist.

Poppy is wearing a T-shirt not as a
fashion accessory but to stop her from licking herself too
much and causing badly inflamed skin. This is a condition
she has had since being a kitten, and is an allergy, but to
what we don’t know. As she is a rescue cat we are not
sure of her history. She has had lots of tests but they are
inconclusive, except she has an allergic reaction to something.
We are currently trying her on a food trial, cutting out all
food but fish and water to see if that improves things for
her. She is a dear loving little cat, with a very naughty
personality.
Sooty has been with us since a kitten and is very cute, but
not the brightest of pussycats, however she is very happy
with her lot and we love her very much. She is in very good
condition for 14 years old. |
